Welcome to Kineprompt ("we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our video editing application (the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully.

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Service includes:

Personal Data: Personally identifiable information obtained via Google Sign-In, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, that you voluntarily authorize us to access when you register with the Service.
Video Data: Video files and text prompts you upload for processing.
Usage Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Service, such as your IP address and browser type, for security and operational purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you to:

Create and manage your account with our Service.
Act on your behalf: We use your Google-provided access token to securely send your video and text prompts to Google's Generative AI (Gemini) API to perform the edits you request. We act as a proxy to simplify this process for you.
Process your video edits and deliver the final product.
Monitor and analyze usage for rate-limiting and service improvement.
Respond to your feedback and support requests.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We may share or disclose your Google user data only with the following third party for the purpose of providing the Service's core functionality:

Google LLC: To fulfill your video editing requests, we securely transmit your uploaded video data and text prompts to Google's Generative AI (Gemini) API for processing. This data transfer is essential for the Service to function. Your interaction with Google's API is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Other than this specific case, we will not share your personal data with any other third parties without your explicit consent, unless required by law.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide you with our Service and for legitimate and essential business purposes.

Personal Data: Your Google user data (name, email, profile picture) is retained as long as your Kineprompt account is active to identify you and manage your access to the Service.
Video Data: Your uploaded video files and text prompts are transient. They are stored temporarily on our servers for the sole purpose of processing your request and are permanently and automatically deleted immediately after the editing process is complete.

Data Deletion Request: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. To delete your account and all associated personal information, please send an email to kineprompt+privacy@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request and permanently delete your data within 30 days.

5. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
